Почему мы думаем о Родине всегда как о женщине? К каким страданиям принуждаем её устраивая распри, раздоры, гражданские войны. Вспоминаются кадры из фильма "Бег" режиссёров Наумова и Алова, где на распаханном поле показана девушка, обнимающая козу и плачущая от бессилия, боли и страха перед безжалостной схваткой братьев, отцов и сыновей.

Why Motherland is always perceived as a woman? How much does she have to suffer and endure, when we start quarrels, conflicts, and wars? When I think about it, it reminds me of ‘The Flight’ movie directed by Aleksandr Alov and Vladimir Naumov - in one of its scenes you can see a plowed field and a girl is there. She is embracing a goat and crying out of pain, fear and inability to change anything in the constant fight between brothers, fathers, and sons.
